Nativity origami
Anyone at the Milton Keynes convention (which was amazing!) could not fail to be moved by Barbara Furmanowicz’s explanation of how her wonderful nativity scene origami came about. The diagrams for all of these models, and more, can be found in Barbara’s book which I was fortunate enough to get a copy of at the convention. Anyone that knows me will no doubt guess that I also got the book signed!
However, if you weren’t able to get a copy of the book then you are in luck. Barbara has a YouTube site where she has posted videos of all of the models. She told me that she had got 86 subscribers and I replied that on Monday she would have 87. I urge every member of the BOS to visit the site. If you are involved in teaching origami to children in any way there are many, many models which are very accessible for children to be taught, it’s a marvellous resource.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we supported Barbara by subscribing to her site? Can we help her subscriptions reach 100? 150? 200? There are enough members of the society to make that happen and it would be brilliant to support one of our own. I am number 87, who will be next I wonder?
Barbara’s site is on YouTube – find it by going to YouTube and typing in Origami for Jesus.
