The British Origami Society is a group devoted to the art of paper-folding, also known by its Japanese name “origami”. We have hundreds of members worldwide and publish a bi-monthly magazine.  We organise local and national meetings and have a unique library. We offer a selection of paper & booklets on our Supplies page. We support our members through virtual meetings, magazines and a member’s area. Whether you are a complete beginner or have been folding for years, there will be something for you here. Many folders who join feel they are “coming home”. As a registered charity, we carry out all kinds of voluntary work within the areas of health, culture and education.

At a time like this, the aims of The British Origami Society are even more important, bringing people together to fold and share something relaxing and beautiful.  So, we are now offering our 2021 Electronic Membership for just £10. To take advantage of this offer, you can join via our Membership page or via our Supplies page at Colortree Limited. We look forward to welcoming you!

If you wish to help us financially with our charitable activities, you can donate to the Society’s general funds or to the Robert Harbin fund (used to help struggling folders).
